Fall and Spring Travel Soccer
The Rockport Youth Soccer Travel program is a team oriented soccer program from players attending 5th and 6th Grade in the Fall and 3rd-6th grade in the Spring. All home travel teams games are played on the soccer fields located behind the Rockport High School. Travel Soccer is an exciting part of RYS. Most seasons RYS enters both boy and girl teams from each grade. Our travel teams have become so popular that we are sometimes able to place multiple teams each season. How will teams be created?
Travel soccer through ECYSA can be more competitive than our own recreational fall soccer. Travel Coordinators, Board Members and Coaches will meet to create the travel teams from registered players. Their knowledge along with evaluations from previous season coaches, MYSA coaches and board members will help with the process. Rather than having equal teams similar to that seen in G4, the travel teams need to be created by taking into account each player’s skill level and the team’s ability to compete within the different divisions of ECYSA. Shin Guards (covered by socks) are mandatory for all practices and games

ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY ALLOWED Season
There are 2 distinct seasons for Travel Soccer, Fall (early Sept.-early Nov) & Spring (early April through early June). Both Spring and Fall soccer seasons are comprised of 8 game seasons. Typically four games are played at home and four games are played away. All travel soccer games are played on Saturdays. 2018 Fall Travel Schedules can be found here. Practices
Scheduled twice a week including an instructional session with your coach. Practices run approximately 60 minutes and are scheduled by your coach. Financial hardship should never discourage a family from playing soccer. RYS is committed to enrolling players regardless of their families’ financial circumstances. All players are asked to pay at least a portion of their registration fee. Financial aid is income based, not performance based. Financial Aid Application Agreement download here
